Quail Beak Pavilion
The final phase of the KFA-designed Quail Beak House in Las Vegas was the spa and tennis pavilion. The pavilion is located at the end of a long axis that serves as a central organizing element for the entire seven-acre site, linking multiple levels of the entry, main house, courtyard and, finally, the pavilion. The pavilion uses simple geometric forms and clean understated materials to create a modern, open-air desert retreat. A lightweight steel canopy shades the living area, while a wall of vines naturally cools the air and allows for cross ventilation.
