Paloma Terrace
Paloma Terrace provides 59 low-income family housing units at 50th and Main Streets in Central Los Angeles. Activity rooms, a private library, and a basketball court are centrally located off the courtyard, which features a barbeque area, a tot lot, and social spaces.

A perforated fence created from trespa panels shelters the courtyard from outside activity while maintaining a visual connection to the street.  The massing of the building is broken down into a series of boxes, each consisting of a stack of units.  The large and small boxes are cantilevered and step out of plane from one another.  The smaller boxes are wrapped in a dark, warm horizontal wood siding that contrasts with the stucco background of the larger boxes.  Dark red trespa panels accentuate vertical elements such as elevators and stairs.
