2121 Artists' Lofts & Townhomes
The Artist Studios and Townhomes at 2121 inhabit a cluster of early 1900s warehouses. The warehouse roofs have been peeled back and walls punched through to create a unique and warm community living space.

The 19 two-story townhomes were designed to playfully incorporate natural light and fresh air. Large picture windows, and open-air and skylight exposed lightwells are carved from the roof through the second floor to provide a friendly glow to the ground level. The open-plan units have double-height living spaces, private patios, and elegant Italian kitchens. Several different unit layouts allow residents varying degrees of privacy and options for space distribution to accommodate a variety of lifestyles and living situations.

Townhome front doors are accessed through a central open-air courtyard, created by removing the center of the warehouse roof. Several courtyards are spread through the complex, defining sub-communities while remaining linked by landscaped paths, a BBQ / spa area, and an herb garden.
