Loyola High School completed its Long Range Strategic Plan in 2000 and then began its Facilities Master Plan to define the specific location for future expansion. While not increasing its enrollment, the school wanted to add a chapel, student center, ten classrooms, eight laboratories, performing arts classrooms, administrative offices, basketball/volleyball courts and more athletic fields. Killefer Flammang Architects was asked to show various options for future growth, identify adjacent properties and streets for potential acquisition, clarify pedestrian and vehicular traffic and tie the campus together with a series of pathways and plazas. Four schemes were presented to the Regents and Trustees who chose a direction for growth. The Facilities Master Plan continues to be refined, and since 2000 three buildings have been renovated. The new William H. Hannon Science Hall and Ardolf Academic Center will be completed in Spring 2007.
