Sunset Plaza
Sunset Plaza is a 15,416 SF extension of a beloved 1930s retail complex in West Hollywood.  The design utilizes plaster walls, stone veneer accents and a native slate mansard roof to complement the French Eclectic aesthetic of the original building, while a limestone endcap wall sheathed in limestone at the terminus of the western façade distinguishes the new addition.

The plaza sits on a sloped site and a small sunken garden was created on the northeast corner to bring light down into the eastern garden-level stores.  The new building is divided into five flexible spaces that can be combined to accommodate the different needs of future tenants.

Sunset Plaza meets the City of West Hollywood’s Green Building and public art requirements.  A percentage of the construction budget was spent on site-specific art installation by sculptor Brad Howe.
