USC Seeley G Mudd Research Laboratory
This project is the first step in the university’s plan to transition the lower two levels of the Seeley G. Mudd Building from instructional labs to research laboratories.  The renovation creates a new chemistry research laboratory suite that provides a mix of open lab, specialized lab support spaces, offices, carrel space, conference and social spaces. A new NMR suite is included in this project and located on the first level of the building.

New robust roof top mechanical equipment was provided to support the high fume hood count of this lab and the greater mechanical demands of research labs in general. Additional capacity was designed into the new exhaust system to accommodate future renovations.
