Willow Apartments provides much needed low-income housing to the Willowbrook neighborhood of Los Angeles. The design clusters two-story buildings around a central landscaped courtyard, which includes children’s play and barbecue areas. Studio, one and two bedroom apartments provide a variety of unit types, and apartments on the second floor have high sloping ceilings. Residents enjoy a large community room which can be expanded by opening oversized doors that lead to the shaded outdoor courtyard.
